I would normally agree with people when they say that Purdy is just a product of the Kyle Shanahan system, but he's doing more than a typical QB would do, and it should pay off for fantasy. He was the overall QB7 last year, in part due to him being 5th in passing yards, first in yards/attempt, 3rd in passing TDs, 1st in passer rating, and 3rd in completion percentage over expectation. He's a good QB, and he has the weapons to succeed. The hope is that Brandon Aiyuk can remain in San Francisco... because otherwise, Purdy would be taking quite a hit. Fortunately, he still has some very good weapons behind Aiyuk in Kittle, Deebo, CMC, and rookie WR Ricky Pearsall. This cast along with Shanahan in the captain seat makes Purdy one of the safest fantasy QBs in drafts this year.
