Green Bay’s top ball carrier went down late in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chargers and needed plenty of assistance to get him off the field, where he was then carted off and quickly ruled out for the rest of the day. The injury, which appeared during the game to be serious, still remains to be diagnosed, but Packers HC Matt LaFleur said in a postgame press conference that the belief is that the injury Jones sustained is not expected to be a long-term one, per Ian Rapaport. Of course, information regarding his injury is hard to come by just hours after the game concluded, but the encouraging news about Jones’ health is about as good a development fantasy managers could hear about given the way things looked in real time. In his relief, A.J. Dillon was his usual inefficient self and should not be prioritized in start/sit decisions moving forward should Jones miss any time.
