Schultz inexplicably played less than 50% of the team’s snaps last Sunday against the Jaguars, and now enters Friday having yet to practice this week. The matchup against the Broncos is an excellent one – they’re allowing the most fantasy points to tight ends this season so far – so Schultz missing Houston’s Week 13 tilt would be pretty disappointing. Schultz has seen his target totals by game fall in three consecutive weeks since having his best game of the season in Week 9 against Tampa Bay, and unless he’s able to get in at least a limited practice today, fantasy managers should start preparations for finding a replacement for him this week. It’s worth noting that TE Brevin Jordan made his return to the lineup last week, which is something that could have contributed to the decrease in snaps for Schultz – but with Noah Brown also potentially returning from injury this week, the target distribution may be too wide for Schultz to be a reliable start this week even if he does go.
