Bateman has taken his time returning from a Lisfranc injury that caused him to miss the majority of the 2022 season, and remains yet to take any snaps in practice so far this offseason.
With the Ravens bringing in help in the receiving game in the form of Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr., there’s certainly no rush to get him back into the lineup.
However, his absence has opened the door for Flowers and Beckham to build early chemistry with Lamar Jackson, something that Bateman will have little to no chance to do heading into 2023.
It’s likely that Bateman will be slow-rolled back into action in 2023, as well, which could place him as the No. 3 WR on the Ravens depth chart come Week 1.
