2023 Dynasty Buys and Sells

Upper Hand's Buys & Sells:

Chris Godwin (WR - Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - BUY

Tom Brady didn’t play well last year, but Chris Godwin was still the WR13 in PPR points/game the year after a torn ACL. Slot receivers tend to last longer, and at 27 in February, Godwin still has a potential 3+ good years in him, even without Brady.

Dameon Pierce (RB - Houston Texans) - SELL

Again, I love Pierce. He was one of my guys last year. You got him at a discount in your rookie drafts, thank him, and move on. Day 3 draft capital, new coaching regime. We’ve seen this story before.

Michael Pittman Jr. (WR - Indianapolis Colts) - BUY

Pittman has dealt with some bad QB play, but has still racked up the 12th most receptions among all players over their first three years played since 2000. At 26, you still have 4-5+ solid seasons left.

Rhamondre Stevenson (RB - New England Patriots) - SELL

Rhamondre was amazing last year, and it’s fresh in everyone’s mind. What they don’t remember is his Day 3 draft capital. I was a big fan of Rhamondre coming out, but the odds of him continuing this level of production aren’t high. History isn’t on his side.

Fantasy Trainer's Buys & Sells:

Kyler Murray (QB - Arizona Cardinals) - BUY

The consensus is he had a down year, but he was playing at an 18 ppg level before he tore his ACL. Though he may not be ready at the start of 2023, this would be the time to buy low on a top tier QB with elite upside who is still only 25 years old.

Austin Ekeler (RB - Los Angeles Chargers) - SELL

After finishing as the RB1 in 2022 and the RB2 in 2021, Ekeler has been the most consistent RB in fantasy. But nearing the end of his contract and turning 28 years old soon, selling high at a position that tends to fall off a cliff once they near 30 is a great idea. Ekeler’s value will never be as high as it is right now and it’s better to be early than late.

Rachaad White (RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers) - BUY

Rachaad White had a very good 2nd half to his rookie season while still flying completely under the radar due to the lack of touchdowns. Towards the end of the season, White started to match Fournette in touches and catch a lot of passes.

Josh Jacobs (RB - Las Vegas Raiders) - SELL

Josh Jacobs took a major step forward into elite RB status and is still at the young age of 24, so you may ask why he would be a dynasty sell. That’s because he already has 4 seasons and a lot of miles on him, and with a new QB next year, may not get the TDs or efficiency he’s demonstrated early in his career.
